Now that the new and improved Festival of the Lost is here, let's take a look at some of the best things you can only do during it.

Destiny Rise of Iron's Festival of the Lost, the game's Halloween-style event, went live yesterday. Just like last year, there are couple of things for you to do, and more than one thing for you to earn.

Our expert in all things Destiny, Alex, lists the top five things you need to do in this year's festival.

5. Festival of the Lost emblems

There are two of these you can only get during the festival. Frame's Honor, which is earned by completing Tyra Karn's mask quest chain. There's also Midnight Hunt, which requires you to play Trials of Osiris, but you'll have to wait until Friday to do that.

4. Shaders

There are four exclusive shaders. Here's how you get Superblack. The Candlelight shader drops from the chests at the end of strikes. The Unquiet Spirit shader is a random Crucible drop.

Finally, the Sea of Tears shader can drop from the Gifts of the Lost bag.

3. Weapon Ornaments

There are two new Ornaments for Bad Juju: Dragonsbane, and Hoodoom. These can be found in in the Treasures of the Lost, which you can get from completing Eva Levante's quest chain. You can also pay real money to buy them from Eva.

2. The cool masks

You've already seen what some of them look like, and you're going to get them just by playing. You can even get some of last year's masks by completing Eva Levante's quest chain.

1. The Broom Sparrow

This is one of the funniest looking Sparrows we've seen in a while. You can find out how to get one by watching this video, and it's definitely among the top-tier gets from this year's festival.
