Battlefield 1: Conquest, Rush, Light Tank, Support and horses changing based on beta feedback

Battlefield 1 is getting a thorough rebalance in the wake of beta feedback.

Battlefield 1 beta players had plenty to say about the recent testing, and DICE has confirmed several changes to its design in response.

One of the most important alterations is to Battlefield 1's Conquest mode. The ticketing system in the beta only awarded points for capturing objectives, which really downplayed contributions from those with high kill counts, making the mode feel more like Domination. The new version awards points for kills and captures.

Rush has also been tweaked but DICE hasn't said exactly what will be changing. We'll have to wait and see what happens when Batlefield 1 launches in October, but the community is hopeful the defensive artillery and vehicles will be rebalanced.

Two classes will be rebalanced: Light Tank will be nerfed, and Support will be buffed. Horses will be nerfed as well, since they were a bit too hardy in their Battlefield 1 beta incarnation.

If you'd like to hear all this direct from DICE, Battlefield 1 lead world designer Daniel Berlin has posted on the Battlefield website, but Westie provides plenty of context for the changes in the video above.

Going head-to-head against the sci-fi leanings of this year's Call of Duty, Battlefield 1 explores WWI, which is new territory for the series. The hype seems to be pretty lively, suggesting EA's gamble may play off.
