If you're not great with action games, you can take a back seat and let the AI do the hard work.

In an effort to be more inclusive, Square Enix has introduced an auto mode feature into Nier: Automata.

According to Siliconera players can switch between auto mode and normal at any time, with auto mode being designed to provide support in battle by switching out the player for the AI.

It can execute attacks and evasive moves, so all you have to do is make sure you're upgrading your weapons so that it doesn't encounter problems against higher level enemies.

You can set specific commands for the AI like only using sword attacks, or just evading.

Unsurprisingly, auto mode is restricted to the easy difficulty level, but you can change it at any point during the game, so if you decide you need a helping hand partway through a playthrough, you can shift down a gear and take a load off.

Nier:Automata is scheduled for an early 2017 release in North America and Europe for PC and PS4.
