Prepare to hurt a bunch of Pokémon feelings now that the Buddy Pokémon feature is here.

The latest Pokemon Go update is being rolled out as my fingers tap-dance across the keyboard.

The iOS and Android update will see some performance issues addressed, as well as the introduction of the new Buddy system.

Pokémon Go Plus support is also being added now that the Pokémon Go Plus is finally being released. In fact, you can pre-order it now from the UK Nintendo store.

Here's a full list of what's coming in the latest update:

  • Implemented Buddy Pokémon: Trainers will now be able to choose one of their Pokémon to be their buddy. A Trainer can earn Candy for their Buddy Pokémon by walking a certain distance
  • Made it easier to select smaller Pokémon on the screen
  • Fixed an issue where Eggs would sometimes hatch without displaying the animation
  • Improved performance reliability when a device switches networks to no longer cause the application to hang or stop updating
  • Pokémon GO Plus support
  • Minor text fixes

If you can't see the update yet, don't panic. It should roll out to all users before the end of the week.

Which of your Pokémon are you looking forward to snubbing/ starting a meaningful relationship with? Let us know in the comments.
