Destiny: the PlayStation exclusive Taken King content won't come to Xbox One this year

While many expected PlayStation's timed exclusivity on certain content in Destiny: The Taken King to run out when Rise of Iron released, it appears that this will not be the case.

Digging through an interview on IGN, Kotaku Australia has reported that we won't be seeing the PlayStation exclusive content from The Taken King on Xbox One until at least 'fall 2017' - well into next year, approaching the time when Destiny 2 is meant to launch.

Reddit user THConer has also gone into great detail about the PlayStation exclusive content missing from the Xbox versions of the game. They include gear sets, a strike (Echo Chamber), and two Crucible maps (Icarus and Sector 618).

Rise of Iron will also have PlayStation exclusive content, including a quest line and a unique PVP map. How long they will remain PlayStation-exclusive remains to be seen, but given this example, all bets are off.

Destiny: Rise of Iron launches on September 20, for PS4 and Xbox One. The Taken King's final DLC for Xbox One will arrive well after that.
