No Man's Sky patch out for PC, in submission for PS4 and "should be out very soon"

The latest patch for No Man's Sky is PC only at present, but PS4 players shouldn't have long to wait.

According to the studio's Sean Murray, the latest patch is only available for the PC version on Steam and GOG.

Notes aren't available just yet, but the update adds support for more hardware and "improves frame rate at low specs."

The patch has been submitted to Sony for PlayStation 4 players and "should be out soon," and it improves stability and "lots more."

"Even though less than 1% of players have raised support issues, we're going to resolve roughly 70% of them this week," Murray said on Twitter. "It's pretty crazy for us how many people are playing, and how large a number even 1% of that user base is.

"We're totally focused on customer support right now. Then we'll move onto improving and adding features to the game."

An email sent to players who submitted support requests was posted overnight, promising a patch for both PC and PS4 would be released this week. According to the email, the patch will fix the most "urgent and critical issues for all players.”

The patch will be followed by another, slated for release next week, which will improve the experience further.

No Man's Sky was released last Tuesday for consoles, and the following Friday for PC.
