I don't know what Koroks are but they're in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild marks the return of Koroks. Apparently.

This The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild story has been hanging around on my assignment sheet for a full 24 hours because I've been avoiding finding out what Koroks are.

They're a big enough deal that Nintendo shared this video on its The Legend of Zelda Facebook page, which seems reason enough to highlight it, but if you're not already a Legend of Zelda fan and don't know what these things are, it feels a bit like "okay, cool, yeah".

Their return in Breath of the Wild has sparked some furious speculation in comment threads about where Breath of the Wild fits into The Legend of Zelda's timeline.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is scheduled for 2017, on Wii U and NX. Quite apart from being the extension of a beloved series and a long awaited release for Wii U owners, it looks rad as heck.

Nintendo's gone all open world with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, allowing you to tackle dungeons in whatever order you like, and added a bunch of crafting and survival-lite elements. Even staunch anti-RPG purists may want to take a look.
