Hitman developer confirms three season plan

Season two is yet to be confirmed, but it looks like the devs are aiming for three seasons.

Plans for a third season of Hitman were confirmed on the official Hitman Twitter account yesterday, despite the fact that the second season hasn't been announced yet.

IO-Interactive didn't exactly keep their ambitions for the episodic format a secret, writing on the PlayStation blog that "the structure is inspired by contemporary TV series’ and will unfold over multiple seasons. To begin with, the overall story and the individual mission stories run in parallel but as the first season progresses, the tracks will merge and become one."

The first season runs over seven episodes and we're just around the halfway mark with episode four's release date and location confirmed.

Looking at your comments back in January when the episodic format was announced, many of you weren't too pleased with the change. Now that we're midway through, have any of you changed your minds?

Getting the go ahead for a second season will be a mark of success for IO and if all goes well, they'll get their third season.
