Some Destiny: Rise of Iron information has dropped in the latest issue of Game Informer.
Some excerpts of information were been pulled from the latest issue, which was released digitally today, and posted on the GI site.
The new raid coming with the expansion was named, Wrath of the Machine, and the new issue also discusses the new player space Archon’s Forge.
According to the official website for the mag, Light will cap at 385 when Rise of Iron releases. It jump to 400 when the Wrath of the Machine raid’s hard mode hits a few days after the new expansion is released. Rare, Legendary and Exotic drops appears will be similar to what’s in the game now, said GI.
Ornaments are a new feature coming with the expansion and provide the player with the option to change the appearance of armor pieces and their exotic weapons. We are assuming for now these will work similar to shaders, only under a different name. Don’t consider that gospel, though.
A Rise of Iron record book filled with tasks will be part of the content, and percentage completion points will provide players with rewards such as emblems and gear and other goodies. This also sounds similar to Year 2’s Moments of Triumph.
If you watch the video above, Alex goes over the information in this post a bit more, and provides insight into what you’re seeing on the new Game Informer cover.
As previously reported, Rise of Iron will come with new weapons and armor sets through Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris, the aforementioned raid and the Archon’s Forge arena event.
We’ll have more information on all of this as it’s made available.
Destiny: Rise of Iron is out on September 20.
