Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone's Conspiracy out next year, stars Layton's daughter
Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone's Conspiracy has been announced as the latest entry in the Professor Layton series.
Level-5 revealed the title today during its Level Vision event in Japan today.
We've known since the Miracle Mask was released the renowned puzzle aficionado Hershel Layton would retire from the main series at some point. And he did just that in 2014 with the release of Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.
Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone’s Conspiracy stars Hershel's daughter, Katrielle "Kat" Layton. The puzzle title will contain many new characters (Basset Hound!), and the story will focus less on dynamic problem-solving and more on solving "multiple mystery cases observed in the everyday lives of Londoners."
Level-5 feels this will bring a faster tempo and more comical tone to the series while maintaining an adventurous quality.
The creators of the puzzles and brain-teasers, the core element of the series, will also be new.
Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone’s Conspiracy will be release on 3Ds and mobile in Japan next spring, and will head west sometime next year as well.
The Professor Layton series of puzzle-adventure games have sold more than 15.5 million units worldwide to date.
