Today's new additions mean 227 Xbox 360 games are playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility

Coincidentally, all of this week's new backwards compatible titles for Xbox One hail from Japanese publishers.

Eight new Xbox 360 games have been made playable on Xbox One this week, bringing the grand total to 227.

Here's what's new:

  • Bionic Commando Rearmed 2
  • Capcom Arcade Cabinet
  • Crystal Defenders
  • Fret Nice
  • NeoGeo Battle Coliseum
  • Pac-Man Museum
  • Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1
  • Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 2

Microsoft seems to be adding about half a dozen new titles a week on average. Lately many of them seem to have been Arcade titles rather than big boxed releases. Well, except for that whole Red Dead Redemption thing.

You can view the full list of backwards-compatible titles on Major Nelson's blog.
