Red Dead Redemption gets Xbox One backwards compatibility this week

Are you a Red Dead Redemption fan still craving a sequel? Sadly there's no sign of one on the horizon, but Rockstar is offering something else: Official backwards compatibility with Xbox One systems.

According to Rockstar itself, all Xbox 360 versions of Red Dead Redemption will become backwards compatible on Friday July 8.

That includes the original release, the Undead Nightmare expansion, and the compiled Game of the Year edition. What's more, Red Dead Redemption will also be available to purchase on the Xbox One store.

Here's hoping this also means a PC edition will be right around the corner.
