Update:

The European release date has been confirmed as September 16, the same date as the North American release.

Original story:

Here it is at last: Dragon Quest 7: Fragments of the Forgotten Past localised for western release on 3DS. An update of the 2000 PlayStation classic, it was released in Japan way back in 2013.

This has been a long time coming, and as part of Nintendo's E3 2016 celebrations of the title Square Enix made it clear that this happened entirely due to fan demand; the publisher wouldn't have bothered if RPG, Dragon Quest and Nintendo fans hadn't made it clear they were waiting.

Dragon Quest 7: Fragments of the Forgotten Past releases in September in North America. Not long to wait now! European and PAL territory release is still up in the air, but expected sometime this year.
