Hiding from an invading Dark Souls 3 player? Apparently it’s easy to hide in plain sight.

When a hostile player invades your Dark Souls 3 game, there might be a better way to respond than fighting to the death: dress as an NPC. As a recent video from The Zexster shows, equipping the outfit of a random mob or NPC might cause them to ignore you entirely, until they abandon the game out of boredom.

As the video begins, Zexster makes sure to sit just out of view so as not to be assuming, and the visiting player walks right by. Eventually we see more elaborate steps being taken to draw attention of the invader – walking past on the road, taking a little damage from enemies, and lighting weapons on fire. Nothing managed to get the invader’s attention, who eventually quit the game before Zexster could make a direct reveal.

Overall it’s a really creative twist on previous Dark Souls 3 hide and seek games that makes multiplayer much more interesting. What will players come up with next?
