The rumours were true. It's coming.

PC WW1 shooter Verdun confirmed for release on consoles

Verdun was released for PC last year, with the boast that it was the "first multiplayer FPS set in a realistic World War One setting."

Rumours were floating around earlier this month of a console release following a leak courtesy of the European ratings board PEGI, when it was given an "18" rating and appeared on both their Twitter account and their ratings page.

The news was confirmed today with the Verdun console announcement trailer.

Luckily, the game will be out before the Battlefield 1 launch, so it won't get lost in the furor on release.

Verdun will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One and on August 30.
