EA outlines plans for its Star Wars franchise: get a sneak peek of Visceral's new game

EA is working with LucasFilm to create a slew of new Star Wars games. Starting off with another Battlefront next year, the new titles will include content from more recent films.

The publisher reiterated Battlefront fans can expect a third mysterious DLC drop this year on top of this month's Bespin and the more distant Death Star pack, as well as a PlayStation VR exclusive mission, developed by DICE in collaboration with Criterion.

In 2018, we can look forward to an action adventure game set in the Star Wars universe with an original narrative and new characters from Visceral and Amy Hennig.

Beyond that, there are even more projects in the works including a third person adventure game from Respawn Entertainment. Watch the video above and you'll even see a an X-Wing in PlayStation VR - is that a seperate game entirely, or part of one of those already announced?

"And we’re early in pre-production on some other projects we think you’re going to be excited about as well," EA added. Hmm!
