Nintendo has shared some good news about Super Mario Maker.

Super Mario Maker is pretty damn popular

As per the tweet below, Super Mario Maker has sold over 3.5 million units worldwide, which is excellent for a platform exclusive - especially one with a smaller user base like the Wii U.

It looks like players average about two levels created and shared each, because 7.2 million levels have been uploaded. Goodness knows how many more are works in progress or unshared.

Altogether, user-generated levels have totted up over 600 million plays, which is awesome. It's nice to see a UGC community doing so well in the same week as Project Spark met its demise.
