Fear Effect Sedna port announced for PS4 and Xbox One

The team said it received numerous requests for a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One port, and while a "difficult decision" due to the "significant financial investment" and work required, it has relented.

On consoles, players will control one character at a time as the others will follow. Characters can be switched with a simple hit on a button.

As soon as the project is funded, work on all versions of the game will begin. This means the console stretch goals on Kickstarter have been removed, but console rewards tiers have been added.

An extended gameplay video was released today, giving you a look at how it's coming along. You'll see some of the puzzles, deathscenes, and cutscenes, but note it's all in the early prototype stage and PC footage.

Part of the Square Enix Collective program, Fear Effect Sedna needs $114,106 to be funded, and with eight days left, 1,848 backers have pledged $86,419.

Fear Effect Sedna is planned for release in 2017.
