Here's an extended look at DOOM's single-player campaign

The footage features creative director Hugo Martin and executive producer Marty Stratton playing through a few of the game's levels, including the very opening section, showing off different guns and features.

Guns have secondary features in DOOM - for instance, the pistol has a charge shot as well as the standard shot - and there's no reloading, with every gun allowing you to fire until you run out of ammo entirely.

There doesn't seem to be a limit on how many weapons you can carry either, which makes DOOM a particularly old-school shooter, albeit one with plenty of modern flourishes.

It's a good look at the new DOOM's re-imagined version of Hell, and all the demonspawn you'll be slaying in the game. It's looking, naturally, pretty gory as well.

DOOM launches worldwide for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 13.
