Raiders of the Broken Planet is MercurySteam's new multiplayer online game

Coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the game is multiplayer online asymmetric adventure which takes place in the Lira Constellation on a broken planet.

On it is a "powerful ability enhancing substance called Aleph," the discovery of which attracted "intergalactic scum and criminal lowlife." The criminals wish to control the substance, and in doing so, control the universe.

Raiders of the Broken Planet will feature players fighting off the invaders in teams or work with the invaders by shooting, brawling, and using strategy.

It also contains a story driven narrative which will be delivered episodically. The developer promises each will be sold at an "extremely low and attractive price point."

MercurySteam will be self-publishing the game digitally and wants to work closely with players to help shape the game.

Multiple beta programs will be available, and you can sign up for the closed beta on the MercurySteam website. A teaser site launched today as well.

Raiders of the Broken Planet will be released later this year.
