PlayStation VR North American pre-orders dated, bundle detailed

PlayStation VR hopefuls after more than just the headset should check out this bundle - and those wanting to secure a pre-order should set an alarm.

When the PlayStation VR headset was priced last week, Sony said it was working on bundles including the PlayStation Camera, which is required, as well as non-essential extras like Move controllers.

Making good on that promise, SCE America has now announced an all-in-one bundle for the North American market. Retailing at $500/CAD$700, The PlayStation VR Launch Bundle comes with everything in the $400 core package as well as the PlayStation Camera, two PlayStation Move motion controllers and a disc copy of the PlayStation VR Worlds compilation.

The bundle will be available for pre-order at 7:00am PT March 22.

In response to consumer demand, Sony is also opening North American pre-orders for the $400 core system (no camera, controllers or games) at 7:00am PT March 29.

The platform holder said there will be further waves of pre-orders available if you miss out on these ones.

PlayStation VR pre-orders opened in many regions last week and almost instantly sold out. We can't say we're surprised; at that price, Sony has made Oculus and Vive look a bit silly.
