Blizzard will release a patch for Warcraft 3 next week

Blizzard has a patch in the works for Warcraft 3 which it plans to release next week.

Watch on YouTube

The patch was announced by Blizzard Classic Games lead Robert Bridenbecker in a video posted on YouTube by Back2Warcraft, per Gamespot.

Bridenbecker said in the video that patch 1.27 for Warcraft 3 would release worldwide on March 15, but didn't provide details on what it would include, but he did hint that more updates would be made available in the future.

Diablo 2 received its first patch since 2011 earlier this week, bringing the game to version 1.14. It also included a new installer for Mac OSX.

Other updates to the RPG in the future will include improvements to cheat-detection and hack-prevention.
