Diablo 2 was last updated back in 2011. Yesterday, Blizzard released another patch for the classic game The patch brings the game to version 1.14, and it's aimed at fixing issues with modern operating systems.

The update also includes a new installer for Mac OSX.

That's not all, Blizzard said it's still working to improve cheat-detection and hack-prevention for the game.

"There is still a large Diablo II community around the world," the developer wrote. "We thank you for continuing to play and slay with us.

"This journey starts by making Diablo II run on modern platforms, but it does not end there."

Back in November 2015, a job listing at Blizzard made it seem like the studio is getting ready to re-release classic games on modern systems.

Although this patch sort of does that for Diablo 2, the developer's comment suggest more is yet to come.
