STRAFE, the 90s-themed shooter from Pixel Titans, was funded almost one year ago on Kickstarter and now it finally has a release date.

Or release window, rather.

According to the email we were sent, STRAFE is coming to "IBM-compatible personal computers" in early 2017 via 1996.

Sometimes it's hard to tell exactly what Devolver Digital's CEO Fork Parker is on about in the press releases he sends out. But they are quite entertaining.

The game with its roguelike elements, randomly-generated levels, crazy enemies, super secrets and "monster closets" looks like a fun retro shooter. Players just need to grab a gun, teleport into a level and start painting the walls red with blood and gore. Yay!

STRAFE is Oculus-compatible and will be released on PC, Mac and "possibly Linux if everyone would stop f**king asking about it" in early 2017.
