Music choice can make or break trailers sometimes. It’s a good thing there’s an easy way to fix that.

The most recent Dark Souls 3 trailer showed a good bit of new footage, which is always guaranteed to please fans of the series. It also featured an odd bit of music to go along with the action.

Many Souls fans, myself included, felt the lyrics did not go well with the nature of the game’s world and its themes of darkness and despair. Hoping to fix the polarising music choice, a few community members took it upon themselves to create better trailers using the same footage, but choosing better music.

There’s been an endless number of re-edits and music recommendations. Naturally, your music genre preference will play a big part in choosing the best one.

However, there are couple of guaranteed crowd pleasers that have been doing the rounds lately. These are generally well-edited to match their respective music choice, for the most part.

Supporting the – universally agreed upon hypothesis – that Guile’s theme goes with everything, here’s Xua‘s marvellous creation.
