How IO Interactive builds Hitman’s murder arenas

Hitman drops you down in detailed little worlds full of things to bash people’s skulls in with. Did you think that happened by itself?

Level design is key to Hitman; at its best, the sandbox stealth adventure offers players unrivalled freedom of approach and loads of opportunities to be creative with their kills – while still constraining and endangering Agent 47.

In the behind the scenes video below, designers Jacob Mikkelsen and Marta La Mendola talk through their process of crafting these arenas.

Hitman releases in March on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
