Street Fighter 5: M. Bison moves list

M. Bison (or Vega in Asia – thanks SF2 localizers) is a slow-moving character that is at his best when he’s pressuring the opponent slowly and carefully, hitting them with immense power when they mess up. He’s practically exclusively a charge character, so being comfortable with charge moves is key.

Skills

V-Skill: Psycho Reflect (MP, MK Simultaneously)

vskill_buttons

The Psycho Reflect grabs a projectile out of the air and absorbs it to fill M. Bison’s V-Trigger gauge, but if you hold in the button instead you can store the projectile – and when you release the button, fire it back at speed.

V-Trigger: Psycho Power (HP, HK Simultaneously when V-Trigger Gauge is full)

M. Bison’s Psycho Power bequeaths the dictator with enhanced abilities for his special moves. Most of his special moves start with a small teleport during V-Trigger – ideal for dodging projectiles – and most moves also do more damage. It’s also easier to cancel normal moves into specials.

Special Moves

Psycho Blast (Charge: Back – Forward – Punch)

CH_BF_P_sfv

A close-range projectile attack that blasts foes with psycho power, and can also be used to counter enemy projectiles by meeting and absorbing them.

Double Knee Press (Charge: Back – Forward + Kick)

CH_BF_K_sfv

A sort of psycho powered cartwheel that hits foes twice. There’s an EX version available that is extremely quick indeed, while the button used determines the distance travelled.

Head Press (Charge: Down – Up + Kick)

CH_DU_K_sfv

Bison hops into the air and aims to land on the head of his opponent. There is an EX version available, and this move can be adjusted to become two other moves depending on when you follow up with a press of the punch button:

CH_DU_K_sfv

  • Somersault Skull Driver (After Head Press Hits: Punch)
  • Devil Reverse (Before Head Press Hits: Punch)

Psycho Inferno (Quarter Circle Back + Punch)

QCB_P_sfv

Create a burning patch of psycho flame immediately in front of Bison to trap the enemy, hitting low. The number of hits depends on the button used – Light is 3 hits, Medium is 4, and Heavy is 5. There is also an EX version of this move.

Critical Art (Super) – Ultimate Psycho Crusher (Quarter Circle Forwards x2 + Punch)

2QCF_P_sfv

While it’s absent from his special moves, M. Bison’s iconic Psycho Crusher makes an appearance here as his Critical Art. It hits close at first, so be near your opponent, but will then drive them across the screen to the corner and do an impressive amount of damage.

Unique Moves

These moves are ‘normal moves’, but are executed when pressing certain button combinations or sequences, and often have specific uses and properties. Try them in training mode to see what they’re useful for!

  • Hell Attack (While Airborne: Medium Punch > Medium Punch)
  • Psycho Axe (Down/Forward Diagonally + Heavy Punch)
  • Shadow Axe (Medium Punch > Down/Forward Diagonally + Heavy Punch)
