Fix XCOM 2 back-to-base load times with this absolutely crazy trick

The XCOM 2 trick that's a lot stranger than missing four 90+ percent shots in a row.

Since the release of XCOM 2, players have been reporting a number of performance issues. Among these, is how loading times can sometimes be longer than usual.

The community, however, has discovered - seemingly by pure chance - a trick to reduce loading times. This tip applies only to loading back into the base after completing a mission, and it's a very strange one.

Basically, all you have to do when you see the post-mission stats screen is press Caps Lock to load back to the base faster. The game stutters for a few seconds before showing the green "press any key to continue" button, but that's about it.

As bizarre as it may sound, multiple reports on Reddit and NeoGAF, suggest that it's not a placebo, and does in fact work.

I've yet to try it out myself because I don't have an appropriate save, but it's worth trying.
