Dragon Age writer David Gaider joins Baldur's Gate studio Beamdog

Former Dragon Age lead writer David Gaider has joined Baldur's Gate studio Beamdog as its new creative director and writing team lead.

Gaider announced his departure from Bioware back in January.

“We're very pleased to welcome David Gaider to the company as our new creative director," said the company in a statement via PC Gamer.

"Originally we advertised for the position of senior writer, but when David contacted Trent [Oster] about the position, we upgraded the role."

Along with Dragon Age, Gaider was part of the design and writing team for Baldur’s Gate 2 at Bioware.

Beamdog is currently working on a new title in the franchise.
