The Division is already inspiring community tools.
Since The Division is an RPG, what you have under the hood – your level, equipment and character build – are much more important than they’d be in straight shooter. Don’t be fooled by the emphasis on getting the reticule on an enemy’s head; you’ll need to do the hard yards behind the scenes to dominate in a firefight.
Luckily, you can start preparing now. A clever individual by the name of Miodec has put together a tool called The Division Skill Calculator, allowing you to peruse available abilities and work out synergises.
It’s a work-in-progress because we don’t have a lot of solid data about the final game yet, but all skills and talents are already listed, if not fully detailed. You can see the potential when more information is available – and that interface! Mimicking the in-game menu system for easy recognition, it’s slick as heck. Very pretty.
Bookmark this one and come back to it when the numbers are in place and you’re ready to plan your agent before The Division launches in March on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
What skills did you use most in the beta? I managed to level up Pulse by upgrading my medical wing, but stuck with First Aid and Sticky Bomb because I was playing solo. In a group things would be different.
Remember, if you’re looking for a group to play The Division, our partners at The100.io have the perfect LFG solution.
