The Destiny matchmaking saga continues.
Destiny: The Taken King‘s most hardcore PvP scene remains wedded to skill-based matchmaking, Bungie has confirmed.
Bungie transitioned regular Crucible modes to a skill-based system in December, much to the horror of players who found themselves constantly face to face with egregious lag.
This system is being rolled back starting with this week’s Iron Banner event, but Trials of Osiris will continue to use a skill-based system.
It doesn’t sound like this is set in stone for all time, which is potentially good news for those of us on the wrong side of a continental shelf – but for now, we’ll have to accept lag as a side-effect of the way Trials of Osiris pits you against an escalating series of challenges.
