It's time for another very boring Wii U system software update

Guess what's in the latest system software update for the Wii U. I didn't put a question mark on that because it's not a question.

Switch on your Wii U today and you'll be greeted with a new system software update.

Like the majority of recent updates for Nintendo's quiet little console, it offers "further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience".

Not even an icon update this time. Nintendo is the despair of headline writers everywhere.

Even if the big N seems to have gone cold on the idea of evolving the Wii U with the NX on the horizon, it's wonderful to see it working to further enhance user experience for those who've remained faithful. And with free content dropping constantly for Splatoon there's good reason to blow the dust off the old box, too.
