Fallout 4: companions guide

What companions are, how to find them, and, most importantly, how to sleep with them.

Fallout 4’s companions are a major aspect of the game, mainly because you can have sex with them. All right, that isn’t the only reason, but, you know. Sex.

Below you’ll find links to guides on all the RPG’s companions, detailing how to find, recruit and screw them. You know you will, so you may as well be honest about it.

Fallout 4 contains 12 companions in total, and you’re only allowed to be accompanied by one at a time, so be sure to read up on each and make the right choice for whichever part of Bethesda’s grand adventure you’re traipsing through at the moment.

You can’t romance all of them, but Piper and Preston are on the list of virtual beddables, so there’s lovely. Unfortunately, you can’t sleep with robots. Quite why this should be is beyond us, because everyone knows humankind would have worked out a way of creating insatiable androids in all realities other than the boring one we’re doomed to occupy, so Bethesda had better sort its neck out for Fallout 5. We want to have sex with metal people, thank you. Get it done.

When they’re attached to you, companions will allow themselves to be directed to your benefit and they cannot die. They can carry gear for you – some more than others – and will even get into power armor if you tell them to. They’re pretty handy, all in all.

Get to it, and don’t forget to check out the rest of our Fallout 4 guide.
