2015's Black Friday "the most successful in company's history" - Sony

The PlayStation brand, too, had a great deals week.

After announcing that PlayStation 4 sales have reached 30 million units, Sony revealed that November's Black Friday sales were the most successful in the company's history.

""We've just seen the most successful Black Friday in the company's history," globe chief executive Andrew House told the Financial Times, as reported by Financial Review.

House added, "We are now trying to benchmark against the success of the PlayStation 2 - or exceed it if possible."

On the question of whether or not the PlayStation 4 can outsell the PlayStation 2, House said he was "hesitant to predict" such a thing, partly because "the cadence at which people expect innovation" is faster.

Last week, Microsoft revealed that Black Friday weekend broke records for Xbox One sales in the US, with a 22% increase over the same period last year, making it the company's second biggest Black Friday.
