Holy s**t, The Elder Scrolls players can win $1 million

Play The Elder Scrolls Online. Win $1 million. What is even happening?

Bethesda boss Pete Hines came on stage at The Game Awards 2015 and was like, we're giving away $1 million to an Elder Scrolls Online player. This is not a direct quote. That's why I put "like". I am too flabbergasted to remember the precise words.

It's open to all players and all they need to do is fill out a form on the MMORPG's website, then log in and play before January 10 to be in the running. That's it.

It's not a prize pool, by the way: it's a single prize. $1 million. 1,000 second prize winners will get a slice of an in-game currency pool of 3 million crowns.

Golly. Golly, golly gosh. What a world. Just a reminder that The Elder Scrolls Online no longer requires a subscription.

Ah ha ha. Your move, WoW.
