Kentucky Route Zero Act 4 "is almost done"

Nothing else matters. Shut it all down.

It is with great joy that we acknowledge an update from Kentucky Route Zero developer Cardboard Computer.

Writing on Twitter, the indie said Act 4 is nearly complete, and the team is "excited to share it soon".

This is terrific news, as it's been a long wait. The first episode released in January 2013, with the second following in May 2013. It took almost a year for the third to drop in May 2014, and now here we are 18 months later feeling pretty damn antsy for a return to the beautiful, surreal world of the point-and-click adventure.

The project was initially funded by Kickstarter and the long gaps between releases have raised concerns among backers and observers, but Cardboard's comments on the matter have always been pretty soothing. At this rate it will probably be 2020 before we get the fifth and final episode but I expect it'll have been worth the wait.
