"Female Link" confirmed for Hyrule Warriors Legends

Linkle is real.

Hyrule Warriors Legends will introduce a gender-bent Link, according to today's Nintendo Direct.

Called Linkle, she uses two crossbows - well done to those who first spotted this hint at a female Link - and has a spinning kick attack.

Nintendo is cagily calling Linkle an "original character" and commented that she looks rather familiar, instead of flat-out saying she's a female Link. But well. There it is. Nice.

Launching on March 25, Hyrule Warriors Legends is a 3DS re-release of the popular The Legend of Zelda spin-off, which is a mash-up with Tecmo Koei's Musou or Warriors franchise.
