PlayStation VR. It’s got features.
Here’s a video running down the main selling points of Sony’s virtual reality headset.
Apparently, these features are: 5.7″ OLED display, 1920xRGBx1080 resolution (960xRGBx1080 per eye), 120Hz refresh rate, sub 18ms latency, approximately 100 degree field of view, accelerometer, gyroscope, full positional head tracking via nine LEDs, 3D audio with mic and stereo input jacks, and HDMI and USB interfaces allowing output to TV as well as headset.
No mention of pretty smexy styling, but you can view that for yourself. There’s no external processing unit on show either – but don’t rule it out.
PlayStation VR launches in the first half of 2016. There are more than 50 games in the works.
