Ahead of an announcement at Paris Games Week, a website for PlayStation Plus League has gone live, revealing a competitive eSports service on the PS4.

Tournaments will be held for games including Battlefield: Hardline, PES 2016, Rocket League, Driveclub, Street Fighter 5 and more, with prizes up for grabs including 20,000 euros.

Qualifiers for some of the events are due to take place during Paris Games Week according to the site, so expect PlayStation Plus League to go live imminently.

Here's a video of a French man explaining what eSports are, as part of the official online magazine The Daily Player, which appears to support the PlayStation Plus League.
