Blizzard has confirmed the starting date for the Overwatch closed beta, and revealed the newest addition to Battle.net: Voice chat.

The Overwatch closed beta will launch Tuesday, October 27 in both North & South America and Europe. Previously, only the North American date was available.

In addition, the Battle.net desktop app is also being updated to support voice chat. That feature too is still in development, and Blizzard is looking for player feedback on it.

There is currently no way for players that aren’t invited to the Overwatch beta to test out voice chat, and the developer is not saying if the service will support other games in the future.

You can however still sign up for the beta from here, but do note that invites are limited in this phase. Blizzard said before that it may make the beta available to everyone on weekends.
