Inafune promises Mighty No. 9 won't see another delay

Keiji Inafune has promised Mighty No. 9 won't see another delay.

Speaking at the Unreal Fest 2015 in Yokohama, via Inside-Games, Inafune said the cause of the delay boils down to the number of release platforms.

He also said should the game prove to be a success, a sequel will be made.

In October of 2013, backers handed the project $3.8 million on Kickstarter and more through other crowdfunding means..

The game was originally slated to be released in April 2014 before being delayed to September 2015 and then into Q1 2016.

In September, Comcept announced an exact release date for the title: February 9, 2016.

Mighty No. 9 is in development for 3DS, Linux, Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
