The Sims 4: Get Together won't be here in time for Thanksgiving parties.

The next expansion for The Sims 4 had been expected in November, but has been pushed back. The new release date is December 8.

"Your enthusiasm and feedback inspired us to work even harder to make sure that this pack is everything it could be," EA Maxis said in an announcement post.

"So we’ve decided to take a little more time to work on the expansion pack."

Maxis will use the time to "add more polish and depth into the core of The Sims 4 Get Together", making it "even bigger, better, and cooler". As a result, the pack will include additional features not previously announced, such as board game Don’t Wake the Llama and a diving rock in the Natural Pool. More weightily, players will be able to nominate a specific hangout for their clubs.

Maxis has promised more information on the pack sometime in early November.
