Metal Gear Online servers are live on all consoles
It’s happening. The multiplayer mode for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has gone live.
To enjoy the wonderful world of MGO, you’ll need to download the newest patch and after booting up the game, you’ll be directed to the online store to download the MGO game date.
Each download took just a few minutes on my PS4, so you shouldn’t be waiting around for too long.
If the servers haven’t gone live for you yet, don’t panic. There’s a rolling timeline window so just be patient. According to Konami, servers in the UK are live for PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and Xbox One.
The #MGO servers are now up on PS4, PS3 and X360. XBox One coming soon.

If it’s not live for you, you can still have a mess about in the freeplay mode to get acquainted with the weapons on offer and waste some time while you wait. You can check the status of the servers for all platforms here, and remember not to bother checking if you’re on PC until 2016.
PC launch for MGO is still scheduled for Jan 2016.
