Twitch beat Dark Souls - what's your excuse?

Dark Souls has been beaten by the mindless conglomerate of thousands of button presses, many of them trolls. Feeling inadequate?

Dark Souls is supposed to be hard, but if you're yet to topple its final challenges it's time to step up your game: if Twitch can do it, so can you.

Yes, Twitch Plays Dark Souls has been successful. In the end it did have to rely on the old continual pausing trick to get there, but even with this arguable cheating it's a hell of an accomplishment.

According to Kotaku, the whole playthrough took 43 days, eight hours, 14 minutes, and 23 seconds with 903 deaths - significantly better than many human attempts.

The chat crew has already moved onto Dark Souls 2, so tune in on Twitch. It's a shame console exclusivity means they're unlikely to tackle Bloodborne and Demon's Souls.
