Rainbow Six: Siege doesn't have a story campaign

Rainbow Six: Siege is all about multiplayer, although you can play alone against bots if you want to.

Rainbow Six: Siege won't bring back the campaign experience of previous games in the series.

“There is no story mode per se," art director Scott Mitchell told PCGamesN at EGX.

"You go through training, where you get to experience different operators and their devices. You can play against enemy AI in co-op through all the maps."

As well as serving as a training ground, this single-player experience contributes to overall progression, so you'll be unlocking new content for use in the core multiplayer game.

Ubisoft has been promoting the heck out of Rainbow Six: Siege as a purely competitive title, so perhaps this news isn't too surprising.

Rainbow Six: Siege launches on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on December 1.
