The friendly RPG where nobody has to die

That's the tagline for Undertale, a mostly one-man project that's shining on Steam.

We reported on Undertale a while back, when it smashed its goal on Kickstarter.

The story will pick up in world where humans have sealed monsters underground after a war between the two species.

You play as an inquisitive child who falls down a hole into the world of monsters after climbing a mountain that no one ever returns from. What were you thinking?

To get back topside, you can battle or negotiate your way through encounters to freedom. You can even date a roguish-looking skeleton called Papyrus, although I don't know how old he's supposed to be but I'm sure it doesn't get weird.

You can find out more about Undertale on Steam where you can pick it up for under a tenner right now.
