The creator of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is crowdfunding a fighting game

Them’s Fightin’ Herds, a fighting game where various four-legged animals lay the smackdown on each other, is asking for $436,000 on Indiegogo.

The game, which you can fund here, has already raised 19% of its target in the first 11 hours of a 30 day campaign. You’ll need to put down $15 or more to secure a copy of the game. Many of the higher tiers are already sold out.

Some of this popularity can be attributed to the fact that the game is set in a world designed by Lauren Faust, creator of both My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Super Best Friends Forever. The game was originally going to be based on the MLP franchise, and was named ‘Fighting is Magic’ until the developers, Mane6, received a ‘cease and desist’ letter from Hasbro.

The game’s funding page promises a solidly complex fighting system, as well as a ‘Visual Lobby’ where players will be able to hang out with other players from around the world.
