Castlevania's Koji Igarashi creates the spookiest Super Mario Maker level

The strengths of Super Mario Maker show really well when you let actual game designers use its tools.

Super Mario Maker, Nintendo's Mario level creation suite, is out this week. It's been mostly in the hands of the press and games media so far, but already we're starting to see some great work.

But what if it was used by actual game designers to create levels? Polygon asked the same question and invited veteran Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi to test it out.

Watch the level he created below and count the number of ways it resembles his work on Castlevania.
