Frontier has announced that the Xbox One port of Elite: Dangerous will be ready to officially launch October 6 on the system. The game is currently part of the console's Preview Porgram, which similar to Steam's Early Access, gives players access to an in-development build.

Frontier CEO David Braben took part in a Reddit AMA recently where the confirmed the date. Braben also confirmed that all ships and modules acquired through Preview will not carry over to the full version.

It's not all bad though, because players will receive these items' worth in cash, to be deposited to their in-game inventory on launch.

And that's not all, users who purchased the game during Preview will get an exclusive reward, though Braben did not confirm what it is. Braben also said account transfers across PC and Xbox One will be possible in the future.
