Super Mario Maker is a hit - get all the review scores here

Super Mario Maker doesn't release until September 11, but the review embargo has lifted and many critics seem to be really enjoying the game.

The game allows users to create their own custom Super Mario levels complete with sound effects and music block customization. It contains a set number of tools to help players learn to create and the game is compatible with more than 50 amiibo.

This includes classic figures like Link, Wii Fit Trainer and Kirby along with the 30th Anniversary 8-bit Mario amiibo.
